Interview: How content creator Aaron Busch believes influencers can be authentic to their persona

There will be a conference about content marketing, content trends, content narratives, and stories in a post-pandemic era. On 20 June at Hotel ICON, our 26 speakers will share their insights and experiences on content strategy for crisis, engagement with Gen Z, and how artificial intelligence will impact consumer intelligence.

The panel will be discussing what's new in the world of content creators. The COVID-19 situation and political landscape in Hong Kong was reported daily by a person named "tripperhead" He went from a career as a radio DJ to being a stay-at- home dad to his two children.

Busch told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that while putting out the news day after day was his only goal, it was important for him to engage with the Tripperhead community by responding to private messages.

My social media is mostly focused on Hong Kong. He said that people who lived in Hong Kong and moved away during the Pandemic, family and friends abroad of those still living in Hong Kong, and just those interested in what happens in Hong Kong joined in.

He believed it was important for brands to identify the right target audience in order to create authentic content.

Are you communicating to a global audience? How do you want to be seen in a positive light by everyone?

The Tripperhead brand was not meant to be a brand. I was just a person with a strange handle on the social networking site.

Certain people are thrust into the spotlight as things happen. It was news reporting for me, for sure. It became like a Hong Kong family when I put out the news day after day.

Early on, I decided to reply to every direct messaging. This isn't the norm with people on social media If I were able to answer someone's question, I would.

Do you believe that content creators are being overused by brands? What do you think is the best way to promote a product or service?

I used to think thatInfluencers were too much. I didn't think I would adjust to the new normal. It is the way brands target their followers. It's correct. When you can find 100k people you know are your target audience with a TV spot, you shouldn't waste a dime.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to improve their game?

I am late to social media and I am not a young person. I grew up with a lot of games in this genre. The old man is yelling at the clouds. It's not likely. Is it possible for me to learn from them. It's absolutely true.
