Since the launch of Meg Strachan's brand in 2019, the brand has focused on influencer and stylist marketing. The fashion friends of Strachan bought into the brand almost from the beginning, but it wasn't until the jewelry was worn by the singer that it started to take off. The brand sold a million pieces of jewelry in less than two years.

The marketing focus has been pivoted.

There is no silver bullet in marketing. How you reach consumers is one of the things that has changed. The effective strategies die very quickly.

The brand's focus is now on its Substack. The paid marketing strategy is still working for us. We have moved into affiliate only for our gift strategy. Customers are more sensitive to being sold to on social media, so the power of our newsletter list and our website is important for us. Success is no longer about your number of followers, but about your community, your newsletter list, your content, and the way you tell stories about products.

The brand marketing and growth efforts have been merged to better understand what works and how to drive conversions. She said that the days of a brand marketer in one corner of the office are over.

There isn't as much ability to plan these days. Strachan said that they try to do real-time marketing. A good marketer uses all available tools and is very interested in them.
