Nvidia Computex 2023 Keynote Live: On the ground at Computex 2023

It's time to refresh.

There is a city called the Nvidia metropolis. Irony isn't around anymore.

People don't need to hire artists anymore or pay royalties, they just need to pay for all this artificial intelligence, thanks to the partnership between the two companies. It's hard to think about what will happen to the billion humans that will be made redundant in the global workforce as a result of this.

Maybe they can use artificial intelligence to cut us out of the loop, and we can all become a type of person known as a "troll".

In the future, you will be able to use a generative artificial intelligence model. Once they build a prompt generator, we won't be needed for a lot of things. Maybe they can use us as batteries.

If you've ever used Unreal Engine, it will look similar to the demo we're getting.

I'm hello! Do you have time to watch a presentation on Nvidia's flagship product?

This is a direct sales pitch to the executives in this room and not much else.

We're in the omniverse now.

The new way to network IT infrastructure is called Spectrum 4. I will leave this talk to our friends at TechRadar Pro, because I know how to fix a dropped internet connection by unbplugging my router and plugging it back in again.

There may have been about 10 minutes dedicated to consumer graphics cards. This is Taiwan and there are a lot of industry players here so this keynote is more of a sales pitch than anything else.

The entire 5G stack can be used in Grace Hopper.

The compression-stream-decompression paradigm has been used since the 1960s. Grace Hopper gives you the ability to translate your voice and render your image in 3D.

The first customers to line up for the GH200 are Microsoft, Meta, and a few others.

Grace Hopper is going to change the way drugs are discovered. Medicine is going to see a huge benefit from this.

Grace Hopper can get you a lot of chips, with a lot of memory, and you can use it as a Pod. It's difficult to quantify that for people who don't know much about data center operations.

Jensen wondered if it could playCrisis.

Grace Hopper is working. It's obscene that GH200 is capable of 65billion parameters. You don't have to break data into pieces in order to scale out artificial intelligence.

Anyone who has looked at Artificial Intelligence should be familiar with Jensen's hockey stick.

I think we're in a new computing era.

There are 1600 generative artificial intelligence startup partnerships. The 5000-series graphics cards will probably be the last of their kind. The 6000-series will be forced by shareholders to go all in on artificial intelligence.

A text to video demo with a very realistic woman speaking the words is being shown off by Jensen. He gave the artificial intelligence a prompt to create a sing along song after showing it a demo. He made the crowd sing.

He says that computer science can now be applied to many different fields.

Jensen says that anything with structure can be learned. We can guide the artificial intelligence to produce new information if we can learn the language of the information.

The chat has begun.

Using artificial intelligence, Jensen says that graphics processing has improved 1000 times. I don't know where that number comes from.

Every two years, the company makes major improvements to its artificial intelligence infrastructure. Dedicated programmers will be needed for these computers. This keynote is going to go over the heads of most of the crowd.

The H 100 cost $200,000. Talk about the prices of graphics cards.

Jensen says that the HxH 100 is in full production. This is a data center graphics card so don't expect it to run any of the best PC games on your rig unless you're playing via the cloud.

Jensen says that every data center is over extended. I don't think that's a big deal.

Graphics cards are going to be more of a focus of the company as it transitions into a data center artificial intelligence company.

It's correct. The market incentives to go all-in on artificial intelligence will be irresistable given how much money is being made off of it.

Jensen is showing off a server that can run a large language model for less than half a million dollars.

We're getting to the meat of the new business model for data center graphics for large language models after the brief talk about ray tracing. This is the main driver of the company's earnings.

Jensen says that it took Nvidia a long time to build its full hardware stack. A new computing model built on the accelerated computing paradigm is being introduced.

The end of Moore's Law is something Jensen is talking about.

The importance of theCPU was talked about by Jensen.

A real time artificial intelligence rendering tool. It looks like it's for procedurally-generated missions.

Jensen says that the characters in the game are not prescripted and have a typical quest giving type. The conversation was not terrible. It could be Oblivion level dialogue. It's good for an artificial intelligence.

Jensen is showing off a 14-inch laptop with real-timeRT and a graphics card.

Here's Jensen.

This event will be very heavy from the beginning.

The event is about to begin.

The energy is great as we wait for the keynote to begin. It's nice to be back at the show. We weren't able to see you Taipei.

I'm waiting for the keynote to start so I can attend. As everyone gets in and settles, I'll keep you up to date.

I'm in Taiwan and I'm excited to bring you all the latest from the keynote, as well as all the other news from the show.

I can't say for certain what we'll see in a couple of hours, but I think it will be exciting, at least as far as artificial intelligence is concerned.

Will we have graphics card talks? I'm almost certain that it will come up, but I don't know if we'll get prices or release dates. We'll know in a couple of hours if it's true.
