Despite the hundreds of public comments, Alpine's School Board voted to possibly continue the closure of Sharen and Valley View elementary schools by the end of next year. The Alpine School District said they couldn't comment on pending litigation after parents filed a lawsuit to pause the process of closing schools. (Salt Lake Tribune)
