Emily in Paris has attracted a devoted audience. The series is now the most watched on the platform.
With that in mind, you can imagine our excitement when we came across a content creator who, in addition to nabbing a studio in the apartment building used for show's exteriors, appears to have a life like Emily Cooper's.
When model, actress and luxury marketing student Andrada Popa posted a TikTok on her walk to her apartment building, she got a lot of attention.
You have more life drama than all 3 seasons combined, and you live in the actual building, which is based on Emily in Paris.
Fans of the series were interested in learning more about Andrada.
In a series of follow-up videos, Andrada talks about how she got into luxury marketing and how she ended up living in the same building as a fictional character named Lilly Collins.
Andrada was selected to study in Paris after applying for scholarships after getting into a Masters program.
It was more difficult to find an apartment in Paris because of the scam.
She said she had been sent fake IDs and fake passports. If you don't have any prior experience, you'd fall for the scam.
Andrada was put in touch with a person who lives in the Emily in Paris building.
“Obviously, I wasn’t going to say ‘no.'”
The apartment could not have been better.
She said that the only decent place at a reasonable price in the entire of Paris would be in the same building as Emily. I wasn't going to say "no"
There was a lot of stress and avoided scam. It's just a little bit of luck.
Life in Paris seems to be better than Andrada thought it would be.
In The Know quotes Andrada as saying that she loves exploring the city by foot, finding bookshops to read in, and little cafes and museums. I have been walking around 20,000 steps a day and I am trying to make the most of it.
“‘If I get to Paris sometime soon, I’ll stop by to take a picture.'”
How did she end up living in the famous building? Andrada says it's due to unconscious manifestations.
"Exactly a year ago, before I even applied for Sciences Po, I took a screen shot of a post by Lilly Collins and said to myself, 'If I get to Paris sometime soon, I'll stop by to take a picture,'" I reside in the apartment downstairs from hers. Trying to find a place in this city was very difficult.
On a few occasions, Andrada has been mistaken for someone else.
Andrada says that walking out of the building is comical as people take pictures outside in hopes that they will see him. It's all just a bit of fun and a wonderful experience.
