Chase Bowers Got His First Thousand Customers Without Spending Any Money - Here

Dropified is the fastest growing company in Alabama and the 55th fastest growing company in the United States. Dropified is a platform for automation. It had a 3 year growth rate of 4,971%.

I talked to Chase about how he got his first customers for Dropified. Chase explains in detail how he got his first 1,000 customers without spending a dime.

Decide who you want to be

Chase decided to start his own business in college. A lifestyle of continuous improvement can be traced back to that decision. He started working as a digital marketing consultant. He kept cash flowing and supported his family while experimenting with side projects. He went to an event hosted by Chris Record about marketing on Facebook in 2015.

Take risks

Chase paid a lot of money to join a group. The people in this group were teaching others how to make money as well. Each year they met four times.

Chase was a member of the master mind group. He heard an inspiring story of a former prisoner who made $30,000 in less than a year after starting a drop shipping business. He started his own business.

Solve your own problem

He realized that running a business like this was a lot of work. A lot of these tasks could be done with the help of a developer. He hired a web developer that he trusted to build the tool he was looking for. They worked together to build a chrome extension. Chase saved time and money by using that tool.

A new name was born. The name Shopified was originally used.

Show and Tell

They told him they would use his software for free. Chase had only thought of using it for his own benefit. He decided to make his chrome extension into something other people could use. He was going to make a new version.

Ready. Aim. Give.

Chase made a deal with Chris Record to give away access to Dropified to people in his target audience. Dropified is a bonus that will be given to anyone who signs up for Chris Record's course "How to start a drop shipping business". The move turned out to be a great one. Chase gave a lot of free user testing and feedback on the first version of Dropified to over 1000 customers.

Listen to your customers

The feedback from the free customers helped Chase and his developer improve the product. Chase is starting to plan how to sell it.

Small tests lead to big results

To see if anyone would pay to use the product, Chase launched a limited pre-sale that gave lifetime memberships to the first 50 people that signed up. After selling out within 2 days, he launched a second presale and sold out again. A total of $30k worth of memberships was sold by Chase.

Reinvest your early money

Chase didn't scale up yet because they had 1000 free and 100 paid customers. After the pre-sale, Chase stopped all sales and marketing. He reinvested the money back into the product. He wanted to grow the product once he was happy with it.

Leverage the audiences of others

Chase did not have a large audience to leverage or a large social following. The reputation he built with his first customers was the only thing he had left. He hired an affiliate manager to recruit affiliates for the launch. The affiliates have large audiences who buy their products. Chase wanted more affiliates to sell his product.

Use what you’ve got

Chase built all the marketing materials for the official launch on his own. The tools his team needed to sell more effectively were given by this. Dropified became the #1 product on JV Zoo after he launched it through the affiliates.

Overnight success takes 10 years of hard work

Chase made a lot of money on the first day. By the end of the first week, Chase had sold over one million memberships. Dropified hit $1 million in revenue by the end of the year.

Keep Growing

Chase's launch tactic is only good for a short period of time.

After the initial boost in sales, the affiliates have saturated their audience with your product and it's time for them to move on to another product. This worked for a while, but more was needed to keep it going.

He built out a full marketing team by working on more traditional methods such as Facebook Ads. Dropified is on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies because of being open minded and experimenting with new tactics.
