The state of Kansas is located in the north-central part of the country. The 31st Annual North American Travel Journalists Association award was won by Kansas Tourism.
The "Kansas Brand Anthem Commercial" took silver in the Destination Video category while the "To the Story Campaign" took bronze in the Creative Marketing Campaign category.
Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said that Kansas Tourism continues to raise the bar. The videos show the world that Kansas is the best place to do business, to explore, and to call home.
The "Kansas Brand Anthem Commercial" is a 30-second broadcast video that highlights the experience travelers can expect as they travel across the state. Up to 158 million people were reached by the commercial in the spring of 2022. Visitor traffic to TravelKS.com increased by 37.5% over the course of the campaign.
There are four to five-minute videos that show the unique faces and places of Kansas. According to Kansas Tourism, the campaign has generated over 68,000 pageviews on TravelKS.com and has the potential to be seen by over 4.5 million viewers.
Visit Topeka won a gold medal in the Creative Marketing Campaign category for their "Topeka Dino Days" event.
The type of content being produced to encourage travel to and throughout our state speaks volumes to the kind of content being produced. These awards are examples of the quality marketing we are doing, as Kansas continues to grow in recognition as an awe-inspiring visitor destination.
