Chris Spadaccini to Lead Marketing at The CW

Chris Spadaccini is the new head of marketing for the CW.

The CW is owned by a new majority owner who bought a 75 percent stake from Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global. Spadaccini will be the marketing officer.

Brad Schwartz, president of CW Entertainment, said that it is rare for a company to add someone of Chris Spadaccini's stature. Chris is the best in the business when it comes to building and defining legendary brands for decades and creating passionate emotional attachment between content and audiences. I wish he would have brought The White Lotus with him.

Spadaccini was named executive vp marketing at the premium cable outlet in 2016 after spending 20 years at the company. He was promoted to chief marketing officer of WarnerMedia Entertainment in the fall of 2019. He was the chief marketing officer at Camp.

Spadaccini is excited to be a part of the network's evolution. I am excited to create innovative brand experiences that will help accelerate the next phase of business growth.

By paring back original scripted programming to just a few shows, Spadaccini will join a network that has pledged to make money by the year 2025. The first big live sports commitment by the network was made with the Saudi-financed LIV Golf.
