- For the sixth time in three months, a car exiting I-90 has crashed into Sherry Heart's yard on West Boulevard in Cleveland. Heart, who has lived in her home her entire life, fears that someone will be seriously hurt or killed due to a serious design flaw at the interstate exit. The guardrail in her yard has been replaced 44 times. She said, "I’m still waiting for ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) to do something, even if it’s something temporarily. I know they talked about doing something at the end of 2023, but, the problem is, it’s happening now." (Cleveland 19 News)
- Last week, criminal charges were filed against two 14-year-old Cleveland boys. One of the boys has been accused of possessing more than two dozen stolen cars in the last two months. The other is accused of ramming a stolen Kia into a 62-year-old man at a convenience store while fleeing from police. According to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley's office, the number of insured Kias and Hyundais stolen has increased more than 233 percent in Cuyahoga County from October to December. - While executing search warrants in Painesville and Cleveland, the FBI Cleveland Cartel Gang Narcotics & Laundering Task Force (CGNL Task Force) seized 36 kilograms of suspected fentanyl and other drugs. Including the additional seizure of four kilos of fentanyl found earlier in the investigation, the police seized a total of 40 kilos, or 88 pounds. According to the Department of Justice, the CGNL Task Force also arrested two of the organization’s members and seized four firearms. (WTVG)
