The Parents Television and Media Council, along with other groups, want the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Hollywood's marketing of violent adult entertainment to children.

Recent research shows that explicit shows for teens are being marketed on social media sites popular with children 13 to 17 years old.

It has been more than two decades since the FTC opened an investigation into the impact of violent entertainment content on children, according to a letter written to the FTC chair.

There is a request for justice to investigate the company.

It has been more than a decade since the FTC last looked into the issue, they said, and it is time to reopen that investigation.

Hollywood is still trying to do an end run around parents, deliberately targeting children and teens in the marketing of their adult-rated entertainment products on the platforms that teens use.

They say that an end run around regulators needs to be stopped.

"On behalf of the 1.5 million members of the PTC, I am asking you to once again open an investigation into the marketing of adult content to children," said the VP of programs for the organization.
