The Los Angeles LGBT Center has hired Phillip Picardi, who had top jobs at Teen Vogue, Allure and Out magazine.
Picardi is a member of the center's executive team.
Hollendoner believes Picardi is the right leader to guide the organization as they embark on a new chapter.

Picardi said he was excited to take on the new role at an important time in the community. He said that he knows how powerful stories can be as a cultural salve. I am excited to take the Center's marketing and communications initiatives to the next level.
Picardi was a member of the first class of the Masters of Religion and Public Life program at Harvard. The Unholier Than Thou show was hosted by him.
Picardi is best known for his work as the chief content officer of Teen Vogue. He was part of the team that helped expand the mag's content strategy to include politics and social issues that led to a boom in traffic.
He was put in charge of digital operations for Allure. He founded and served as chief content officer at Condé Nast's first LGBTQ+ brand. He became editor-in-chief at Out in December of last year.
