There is an announcement.

Afterpay celebrates this Afterpay Day with star talent and Tik Tok sensation Mitchell Coombs through a retro game show content series. Developed in partnership with Bounce Creative, this new campaign launches their bi-annual event over August 18-21, with big brand retailers offering epic deals through the buy now pay later platform.

In true Bounce style and with the agility of Afterpay’s brand team, the series was created in under 3 weeks, from idea to execution, with a post schedule that most agencies might run from. With a strong insight and the power of storytelling (and a bit of fun), Bounce’s Executive Creative Director, Joel Chapman says: “We were able to satirise the common notion of flashy sales events, where shoppers often buy unwanted items on impulse, into a moment where consumers can purchase with purpose.”

In this lighthearted series, Bounce has helped position Afterpay Day as a chance to seize deals driven by choice, shopping for items you need, not just a price tag. And with such a wide variety of merchants and sale items that aren’t made publicly available until the sale begins, the plot twist of Afterpay employees not even knowing the deals, was an opportunity to grab.

With production by the team at Optika, the campaign is now live across digital and social media platforms.
