Many people were confused after reading the email from Burger King. Customers who received an email from Burger King had a digital receipt for a food order that they had never made. The receipt is blank, making it even more frightening.

Many people who received this email haven't placed an order with Burger King in months, so they were confused when they received the email.

They rushed to see if money had been taken from their bank account just to see thousands of other people get the same email. I would rush to my bank account if I got a receipt for an order I didn't remember making.

Customers received more than one email from Burger King. Some customers don't remember making a Burger King account, and were confused as to how that could have happened.

It is unlikely that Burger King was hacked because all of the emails were sent at once to every customer and it is more likely that it was a glitch in Burger King's food app.

The issue was caused by an internal processing error according to a company spokesman.
